At Bag Passport, we believe your travel records and personal details are your business. That is why our application is designed from the ground up to protect your privacy by keeping your data on your device, where it belongs.
1. No Data Collection
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal information, photos, baggage tag details, or travel plans. Everything you enter into the Bag Passport application stays locally on your device.
Since we do not run a database or an account system, we have no access to your data. We cannot sell, share, or disclose your information because we do not have it.
2. Local Storage
All photos, description details, luggage identifiers, flight numbers, and checklists are saved exclusively in your device's local storage. This means:
- Your data is never uploaded to the cloud or external servers.
- If you delete the Bag Passport app from your device, all of your saved bags and trip details will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.
- We recommend checking your device's standard backup settings (such as iCloud Backup) if you wish to preserve app data when switching devices.
3. Location Tracking
Bag Passport is a documentation tool, not a physical tracking service. We do not track your location via GPS, cell tower data, or Bluetooth. If you choose to note down your bag's status, it is recorded manually by you.
4. App Permissions
To help you document your luggage, the app may request permission to use your device's Camera or Photo Library. These permissions are used solely to let you capture and select photos of your bag. Photos are processed and stored locally on your device and are never sent to us or any third party.
5. Third-Party Services
The app does not contain third-party ad networks, tracking analytics, or user-profiling software. Any interaction with the App Store is managed securely by Apple under their standard terms and privacy policy.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and reflected in the updated date at the top of the policy. Since our core principle is "no cloud storage," any future updates will continue to respect your local-only data privacy.
