By downloading or using the Bag Passport application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.

1. Description of Service

Bag Passport is a mobile application developed as a utility to help travelers document details about their checked baggage (including photos, descriptions, flight details, and baggage tag scans). All data is stored locally on the user's mobile device.

Please note: Bag Passport is a helper tool for documentation purposes. The App does not track the physical location of your bags (such as via GPS or Bluetooth tracking), does not guarantee the safety of your luggage, and does not file baggage claims with airlines on your behalf. You remain fully responsible for managing your bags and filing any necessary claims directly with your transport provider.

2. Local Storage and Backup Responsibility

The App works entirely offline without an account or central database. All information you record is saved directly on your device. You acknowledge and agree that:

We do not store, access, or back up your baggage records.
If your device is lost, stolen, broken, or wiped, or if you delete the App, all recorded baggage passports will be lost.
We have no ability to recover or restore your data in the event of loss.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will meet your specific requirements, will operate error-free, or that any information provided in the App will be accepted as conclusive proof by any airline, insurer, or third party.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS, LICENSORS, OR PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BAGGAGE, FLIGHT DISRUPTIONS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Your reliance on the details compiled by the App when presenting a claim to an airline is solely at your own risk. Airline claim acceptance depends entirely on the airline's own policies and applicable regulations (e.g., the Montreal or Warsaw Conventions).

5. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your mobile device for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, or distribute it on any network without prior written consent.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the "last updated" date will be revised. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your local jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
